Restore iOS system settings or copy specific files, settings or components. Automatically detect the connected mobile device drive and extract the relevant content. Manage the indirect connection and only affect the file copies already present on computer drives to avoid damaging iOS elements.
MobileSyncBrowser is an app that allows you to see your iPhone data on your PC. It currently supports both Mac OS X and Windows, and it requires that iTunes be installed on your computer. The application reads the backup folder of your iPhone created by iTunes, so another requirement is that a backup was done using iTunes, which requires you to sync your phone. That means that it wouldn't be practical to use this application on a computer other than your main PC.
MobileSyncBrowser allows you to browse your SMSs, call history, contacts, notes, calendars and even photos. It supports the new iOS 4 and it provides a very easy interface for users.
When MobileSyncBrowser finds an iPhone backup, you can proceed to open it, which will take a long time if the backup is big. Mine took a little over two minutes. After that I was able to see my SMS conversations, up to a hundred recent calls and every contact on my list. What I was unable to browse were my pictures. The app divides all the content in categories. The last category was named Photos & other files. But there weren't any of my library photos to be found. Maybe my backup didn't include those.
